Derby, Kan. -- The Derby Twins jumped out to a quick five-run lead and held on for a 5-3 win over the Wichita Lobos last night (July 13) at Panther Park.
A two-run double by Justin Harris in the first inning was immediately followed by a two-run triple from Patrick Hackworth in the second that resulted in a 4-0 lead for the Twins.
Harris wasn't through and added a solo home run in the bottom of the third that stretched the Derby lead up to five runs.
The Lobos came back in the fourth, as Drake Unrein doubled home a run and then scored on a two-run double from Tate Blasi that suddenly made it a two-run game.
But Telo Arsiaga shut the door by blanking the Lobos over the next four innings with three strikeouts and four walks to earn the save.
Brady Bell had started for Derby and lasted five innings, allowing three runs and striking out two in a winning effort.
Jake Grauberger went 2-of-3 for the Lobos in the leadoff spot.
Derby (21-11) will now be at Wichita (8-17) tonight (July 14) at 7 pm at Westside Athletic Field.
