The Northeast Collegiate Hockey League announced the 2019-20 end of the year awards last weekend at the 2020 Conference Tournament in Buffalo, NY
Oswego’s Luke Myers and Alex Gallose took home all-conference first team recognition while Braydon Deming was announced to the all-conference second team and was named the 2019-20 NECHL Rookie of the Year.
Myers (New City, NY) led Oswego in scoring this season with 41 points (13-28-41) – the most amount of points any player has scored in a single season at Oswego since 2015-16 and good enough for 3rd highest all-time. The senior also finished tied for 8th in scoring in the conference.
Alex Gallose (Ronkonkoma, NY) finished up his season with a 2.56 GAA – tied for second amongst his peers in the NECHL. More impressively Gallose posted a 10-5 record with 1 shutout (against Niagara University in November) in his senior year campaign. Although Gallose has played 4 seasons with the Lakers he plans to attend graduate school at Oswego next year and exercise his 5th year of eligibility.
Braydon Deming finished up his 2019-20 campaign with 36 points – a very balanced 18 goal and 18 assist attack that put him second on the team in scoring. The rookie from Rochester, NY also became the first player in the program’s history to lead the Lakers in goal scoring as a first year player.
