The Lakers would like to announce the commitment of 2001 Forward, Bailey Doust, from the Columbus Mavericks in the USPHL Premier Division. The Jamesville, NY Native has spent 4 seasons in the junior ranks, accumulating 72 Points (32G, 40A) in 122 Games. Most recently with the Mavericks, Doust put up 12 Goals and 10 Assists for 22 Points in 36 games, including 2 game winning goals. The 6'1 190lb right handed forward will add some physicality and utility to the front end of the lineup.
Head Coach, Travis Hyde, had this to say on Doust: "Bailey is a player I have known for a few years. I have watched him develop into reliable rolls at every program during his junior career. Bailey will bring some size and experience into the lineup, as well as a great ability to work around the net-front. He can play a hard, physical, but disciplined game and possesses the ability to play 200ft, something that is crucial in the success of our program. We are incredibly excited to bring Bailey on board."
Doust plans to study Business at Oswego, with additional interest in health related fields. "With the campus close to home and a great community surrounding Oswego, it was an easy decision. The team made me feel very welcomed and I am excited to be a Laker," says Doust.
Stay tuned for additional commitments from the Lakers in the coming weeks.
