Tryout Info (Player/Parent Info Night Oct. 16th)

BANTAM

Saturday October 19th, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

Primarily On-field

Areas of assessment: 60 yard dash, 1st to 3rd baserunning, Catch-Play, Catcher throws to 2nd, OF throws to 3rd, Groundballs from SS to 1B, Live Scrimmage with Pitchers throwing to 3-5 batters each, On-field Batting Practice

Coaches will collect run/pop times, throwing velocity and pitching data.

Sunday October 20th, 9:30 am to 11:00 am

Primarily Indoors

Areas of assessment (Hitting Focused): Adjustability, Power, Swing Movements, Fielding

Coaches will collect hitting data.

The UBC Thunder Bantam Team will make a 1st round of cuts after the 1st day of tryouts on Saturday. A list of the players invited to the 2nd day of tryouts will be posted on the UBC Thunder website the night of the 19th.

JUNIOR/SENIOR

October 19th: 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Players must register before attending the tryout.

Players who cannot attending the first day of tryouts need to contact the head coach of the team they wish to try out for ASAP.
