Date:  Source: BCPBL - UBC Thunder

Heading into the Championship Weekend, our Junior team sat 4th in the league standings with a record of 21-15 in the exhibition season. In pool play, the Juniors went undefeated to advance to the final day tournament. The team played an impressive brand of baseball to back with a strong pitching performance by Freddie Sale. At the same time, multiple hitters throughout the line-up supplied the timely hitting needed to beat the Jr. Twins in the semi-finals.

In the Championship game, our junior team irrupt it in the 4th inning scoring eight runs. With the last out of the game being recorded by ground out fielded by shortstop Robert Orr thrown to first base Lucas Huynh, the 18 players rushed the field to celebrate and bring home our program's first championship banner.
