Riddle Breaks Even in Georgia Road trip

Date:  Source: Embry Riddle Eagles

Coming off fall break, the Eagles embarked on a road swing into the Peach State, to play Georgia Institute of Technology and Auburn University respectively. With ACHA rankings being released November 7th, the Eagles wanted to leave the right impression on the division in the final few games beforehand.

Riddle rolled into Cummings late Saturday night as the Georgia Tech Hornets played host. The Hornets did not hold back and took advantage of an Eagles team that had traveled 480 miles and 9 ½ hours that day to play them. Assistant Captain Kyle Usiak tallied the lone goal, but Riddle was routed in a decisive 10-1 loss. Nico Prulhiere and Mitchell Kim split duties in the Eagles’ net, but it was a frustrating night all around for ERAU.

After a quick turnaround time, the team traveled west to Columbus to seek revenge on an Auburn team that had defeated them 4-1 in their last encounter. But this time, the Eagles took their vengeance on the Tigers, and trekked back to Florida with a 4-2 victory in grasp. The Assistant Captains made their presence felt, with Ryan Marks slotting a pair of goals and an assist, along with Kyle Usiak and Jordan Sheppard both scoring and assisting as well. Max Minervini defended his net nicely and continued to improve on as solid season.

The Eagles are seeking to bring the winning vibes home for a Friday night showdown with Middle Tennessee State, followed by a duel with the University of Tampa in their barn Saturday.  Be sure to follow our Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for updates, and as always, Go Eagles!
