Embry-Riddle Hockey 2022-2023 Schedule Released
Date: Jul 17, 2022
Riding off the momentum of a big weekend in Miami, the Eagles returned to Daytona looking to utilize home ice advantage against the Gators, ranked 8th in the ACHA South last year. The fans did not disappoint, as a record setting 750+ people packed the barn. The Let’s Go Eagles chant shook the stadium and energized the boys. They came out flying and shut the University of Florida out in a resounding 4-0 victory.
It was a personal win for the team, having blown out by the Gators in a 6-0 loss the last time they met. Freshman Jordan Shepard scored 2 goals in the win and continues to lead the team in goals. Assistant Captain Ryan Marks scored a shorthanded marker, and defenseman Ryan Knapp tallied a shorted-handed 5-on-3 goal as well. Goalie Nico Prulhiere tended the net nicely, turning away all 25 shots he faced.
The Eagles head to the road again this weekend, playing the University of Central Florida on Friday and the University of South Florida on Saturday.
