ANNOUNCING CIBA'S NEW FALL BALL LEAGUE!
Date: Jun 16, 2016

We are pleased to announce a new relationship with the Baltimore Orioles baseball program and CIBA. This relationship will open up many opportunities for CIBA players for camps, coaching, clinics and showcase tournaments. CIBA will also run a 2015 fall scouting team for the Orioles. Luis Abreu has been named Director of Scouting Teams for WI, PA, VA and Puerto Rico. Luis will report to Fred Ferreira, Director of International Recruiting. Mr. Ferreira is a Hall of Fame scout credited with starting a record 61 Major League careers and he scouts for over 35 colleges in the U.S. Mr. Ferreira, and several Orioles trainers, will attend CIBA 2016 tryouts on August 16th at Warner Park. He will also hold a two day "training day" in August for CIBA players and new recruits. The opportunity to work closely with Mr. Ferreira and his staff will be a tremendous advantage for CIBA players.
Coach Abreu will run the day-to-day operations for CIBA as President and Director of Player Development. He will continue to expand the international program with our sister academy in Venezuela. He will take advantage of the new relationship with the Orioles to bring up MLB players and staff to assist with camps, clinics, the CIBA winter training program and possibly coach teams next season. This relationship will also allow CIBA to plan spring break trips to Florida with the opportunity to train and participate in showcase tournaments. In addition, Gustavo Bencid will be CIBA's Director of Coaching and assist with coach and player training.
