Back to Back Road Wins!

Date:  Source: Sarnia Pacers

Your home town Pacers got their second road win in London this evening, taking the contest by a score of 15-8.
Specialty teams seemed to be the order of the day in this game as Sarnia's power play units kicked into gear scoring four times on seven chances.  To add insult to injury they also netted three shorties.

Sarnia opened the scoring with two power plays goal and London responded by scoring the next four.  However Connor Smith scored a short-handed marker to get the Pacers back to one and team mates Jimmy Purves and Mitch Doughty followed suit and the vistors had the lead again.  The teams traded one more goal each before going off to their respective dressing rooms with the Pacers leading 6-5.

London opened the scoring in the second period but Sarnia carried the play to the Blue Devils, reeling off five goals in a row, two of them while enjoying the man advantage. Bulging the twine for Sarnia this period were Jimmy Purves (2), Kevin Conroy (2), Kevin Hussey and Dan Charlton.  By the end of 40 minutes of play, the visitors were leading by a score of 12-7 and seemed to have the game well in hand.

The final 20 minutes of the game were much like the middle stanza with London opening the scoring and Sarnia replying again - this time with three of their own, two of them short-handed off the sticks of Lance Ross & Kevin Conroy.

It was a big two points for the Pacers as Wallaceburg beat Windsor in other action this evening.
Sarnia has one remaining road game - in Guelph on Saturday the 7th - before they return home and take on the Wallaceburg Red Devils.  Game time is 8pm.  Come out and cheer on your home town Pacers!
