Slowly Heating Up

Like their slogan says, it seems the Pacers are beginning to "Heat Up" the floor after last night's contest against the Windsor Clippers.

It's been a tough start for the Junior club this season staying close in some of their games. There have been times when they've had the lead and were not able to close the door on their opposition. Other times there is nothing left in the tank to overtake their opponents in a game. They have seen more than their share of injuries, had to learn a very different system from a coach who has a long and storied pedigree in lacrosse and  were without their GM for over half the season. In spite of all those odds, with a few timely goals in a few game they could vying for a playoff spot as a .500 team. Unfortuately, making the playoffs will have to wait for another season.

In the meantime, they had rolled off three wins in a row with two of them coming on back-to-back days this past weekend. It seems the boys are using the system being taught to them and it's beginning to pay off for them. It may be too little too late for this season, but the groundwork for next season is looking promising.
