Windsor Tournament – April 9/11
Held at Windsor Arena

Sarnia's bench was very short this tournament as they had 3 goalies and 12 runners showed up at the arena this morning, ready to play.  Because of this low number of runners (one should usually come to a tournament like this with at least 23 players), it was decided by the GM that the Pacers would not play their 3rd game in this tournament.  However, the day finished even earlier than was originally planned.

Game 1 @ 10 am:  Windsor vs. Wallaceburg
Game was won by Wallaceburg with a final score of 9-6
Score was tied at 3 after first period.  Second period, Wallaceburg scored 3 again while Windsor replied with 2 of their own. In the final period of play, the Red Devils got another 3 goals while Windsor could only notch one this period.
Goal Scorers
Wallaceburg: Jordan VanDamme (3), Dillon Lapointe (2), Joel Shipley (1), Mike Myers (1)
Windsor: Trays Boomer (1), Brian Laroque (1), Steve Minck (2), Brett Hickey (11)

Game 2 @ 11:30am:  London vs. Sarnia
Sarnia won this game by a final score of 6-3
Score was 1-0 after 1st period of play.  It appeared Sarnia had tied it but was called off as in the crease.
In the second period the teams were tied at 2 each but London would begin with the  third with the man advantage – again.
Sarnia took their first lead with under 13 minutes left in the 3rd, then added to their lead during that same minute. The Pacers found themselves with a three goal lead just a few minutes later. London got that one back but Sarnia would bulge the twine twice more – but only one would count as again, the goal scored (Jim Purves) was in the crease.
Goal Scorers:
Sarnia: Tyler Smith (1), Kevin Hussy (1), Jim Purves (2), Lance Ross (1), TJ Mara (1)
London:  Wati Feliciano (1), Sean Frankland (1), Jordan Bennett (1)

Game 3 @ 1:00pm:  Sarnia vs. Wallaceburg
It was a very weary and short group of Pacers who took on the Red Devils this game with Wallaceburg opened the scoring early, capitalizing on some of the mental errors made by the boys in orange.
By the end of the first period the Red Devils had a 5-0 lead.
Late in the 2nd period, Wallaceburg had a 7 goal lead (9-2 was the score on the scoreboard but the gamesheet shows 8-2) and after some rough play in front of the Red Devils bench, GM Ken Bennett called the game due to concern for the safety of his players.
Goal Scorers:
Sarnia: TJ Mara & Tyler Smith
Wallaceburg: Nathan Carroll, Mike Myers, Rob Pollock (2), Jordan VanDamme, Reid Miller, Dillon Lapointe, Tye Belaner.

Because the Sarnia team was no longer in the tournament, this volunteer did not stay for the balance of the games.
