James Bacon had one point to lead the Texas Jr. Brahmas to a 3-0 victory over the West Michigan Wolves.

Texas put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow West Michigan to score on any of its three power plays. The Jr. Brahmas' defensive play was more effective than usual against the Wolves. Texas averages 3.0 goals allowed per game. The Jr. Brahmas' offense were handcuffed by West Michigan's defensive play, and Texas managed only 13 shots on goal during the game. The defensemen of the Jr. Brahmas were also effective in the Wolves' zone, and came away with two goals.

Texas additionally got points from Conor Durkin, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Texas also got a goal from Nick Nitta as well. More assists for Texas came via Paolo DiGenova, Zach McPherson, Kurt Thiele, Ryan Dunner, and Sam Gagnon, who contributed one each.

West Michigan could not produce up to its normal offensive output. The Wolves put an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game.

Quinton Reynolds made 18 saves for Texas on 18 shots. The Jr. Brahmas incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kyler Patenaude rejected 10 shots on goal for West Michigan. The Wolves incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
