Mavericks Score Go-Ahead Run in 8th to Beat Rangers 7-6

    The Mavericks starter Matt Picucci (Hillsborough C.C.) went 3 innings, only allowing 1 run and racking up 5 strikeouts. Whitmire recorded 5 strikeouts and only allowed 3 hits and 1 run over 7 innings pitched, while Werner threw 6 innings, striking out 6 batters and only giving up 1 run. The Mustangs scored their only run on a dropped ball by Nathan Geiger that scored Nicholas Gallo (Palm Beach State) in the 4th inning. The Falcons 1 run was scored by Brian Pfund (Tompkins Courtland College) on a wild pitch in the 2nd inning.
