CHRIS JAMES COMMITS TO CURRY COLLEGE
Another Eel has made their college commitment this month, where Chris James has announced he will play for the Colonels this fall. Curry College is a NCAAA Div. III school with a rich tradition of success. Chris came to the Eels from the WSHL two seasons ago giving Coach Bloomingburg a great one two punch in net. Teams are built from the back end up, and Chris was a vital part of the Eels success the past two seasons.
A large reason why Chris has landed this commitment was has outstanding play during the USPHL and Chowder Cup showcases throughout the last two years. He has battled hard in tough games showing scouts he is ready for the colligate level.
A favorite among the local youth players, James would often be seen helping out with practices at night. During the summer he would donate his time at local hockey camps, mentoring the aspiring players.
“When you think of Chris, you cant help but mention the character he has,” GM Scarpci says. “He has been a big part of our organizations winning mentality. He competes hard and I know he will do whatever he can for Curry to have success this season.”
