LEAGUE ALL STAR SHILO VEGA RETURNS

Date:  Source: EJHLS Florida Eels

Vega rejoined the Eel's Elite team this past week. Vega was the team leader in scoring last season with 23 goals and 28 assist for 51 pints. He was amongst the league top goal scorers and was selected as a USPHL Elite league all-star. Vega was last season's team Captain who won numerous "players of the week" awards and was highly scouted by many college recruiters last season. Shilo is a big power forward at 6'4" weighing 190 pounds. He has explosive speed, very good hands and extremely difficult to play against.

GM Scarpaci states, "Vega will be one of the top USPHL college prospects this season."  He punishes players with his strong physical play but is capable of not tallying up penalties. He is very intelligent and a good student of the game. Scarpaci states, "Vega had many options this season but came back home knowing the Eels will be the right fit for him. We will help position him into a very good NCAA
spot for next season." He has been with the Eels both as a Junior player and as a youth player.

Coach Bloomingburg is thrilled to have Shilo back. "He is a veteran who knows our system, knows what I expect and buys into our defensive philosophy to win games."

We have added a number of good goal scorers this season and Shilo will undoubtedly add to our arsenal. Unlike like last year we had to rely mainly on one big line for scoring. "This is not the case this year says GM Scarpaci. We went out and recruited a good number of players who can score coupled with several high end players from last season's Empire team who have moved up and are top snipers".
We look to a very exciting year for the team says GM Scarpaci.
