Our latest Champion City Kings Player of the Week is Western Kentucky shortstop Leiff Clarkson. THis past weekend, Clarkson collected six hits in 11 trips over the weekend and collected two doubles, a run scored, an RBI, and a walk.
The Union, Ky., native is hitting .359 through 28 games played for the Hilltoppers. He also sports an impressive .408 on-base percentage.
Kings manager Brett Neffendorf is excited too see what Clarkson can do this summer. "Leiff will make an impact right away for us as a rangy middle infielder," Neffendorf said. "He can really run the bases and fit right into our style of pressure offense."
