   This is a game that got out of hand very, very quickly. Powered by Mike Cole’s game high 19 points and Darius Lorenzen 15, These Guys took out Nightmares on Harrison St., 84-44 in a game that was never close.

    The first two minutes of the game defined the action as These Guys started the game on a 15-2 run. Harrison called a few quick timeouts to no avail and by the end of the first half, the lead had ballooned to 30. Despite the giant early deficit, the Nightmares continued to diligently fight hard throughout the balance on the game

    Jimmy Sepulveda and John Bennett paced the Nightmares with 13 points a piece. Bennett’s defensive performance was especially of note, as he produced a CSL record, 8 blocked shots. The feat was even more impressive noting that These Guys roll out the tallest team in the league. That was of no matter as Bennett blocked nearly everything from layups to 3’s

    Bennett’s was not the only defense effort of merit. Mike Cole was excellent against CSL Week 2 Player of the Week, Victor Centero, holding him to 7 points. Tomaris Wilson assisted Bennett inside, added 9 points in limited minutes. 

    The win took These Guys to a perfect 3-0 record. They’ll face off against Montenegro next week in a battle of the CSL’s only undefeated teams.  Montenegro’s biggest challenge next week will be countering These Guys excellent offensive balance. Against Harrison, six Guys players scored nine points or more. Meanwhile, Harrison will attempt to stave off a losing streak and bounce back against the talented, but winless Rainmakers next week.
