Taisei Fukuhara is playing his first professional season in 2019. He signed with the ThunderBolts on July 18, 2019 after appearaing in 12 games and hitting .280 for the Milwaukee Milkmen of the American Association. He spent the spring of 2019 touring with the Asian Breeze, a travel team made up of mostly Japanese players. Taisei first received exposure in the United States when he participated in the 2018 Amateur Power Showcase in Miami. Prior to playing in the States, he spent three years on the baseball team at Fukushima University in Fukushima, Japan. He attended Hokkaido Otaru Choryo High School in Otaru, Hokkaido, Japan.
