MONTPELIER, Vt. - The Vermont Mountaineers won the season series against the Sanford Mainers with an 11-4 victory on Sunday evening from Montpelier Recreation Field.

Rapid Recap

   • Sanford scored first for the third time in the season series with two unearned runs in the top of the first.

   • Vermont responded quickly with a two-run blast from All-Star Josiah Ragsdale to even the score at two apiece.

   • Brennan Norton hit his second home run of the season to give the Mountaineers the 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fourth.

   • A little-league home run that was plagued with errors allowed Tyler Ganus to make it a 4-2 game.

   • Vermont continued to pile on the pressure with three runs in the bottom of the sixth.

   • Nic Notarangelo tied a season-high with three hits on the night, while scoring twice.
   • Vermont hit four home runs tonight, the most they have hit in a game this season.
   • DM Jefferson has reached base safely in 10 straight games.
   • Sanford only had two multi-hit innings, in the first and the ninth.
