Alpharetta, GA - After dropping two games to the Blues on Sunday the Aviators returned home to host the Crackers.  Ryan Travis got the start for the Aviators. He got off to a good start as he struck out the first batter he faced on three pitches before forcing back- to-back groundouts. Christian Donaldson took the mound for the Crackers. He got off to a bit of a slower start as TJ Kloiber laid down a one out single before getting into scoring position by stealing second. He was then driven in by Braeden Schnabel who hit a rbi single to put the Aviators up 1-0. The Crackers looked to try and strike back as Trevor Allen got aboard with two outs before stealing second. He then was moved over to third on a single hit by Parker Ladd. Both would be left stranded as Andrew Walton would strikeout swinging. The Aviators went three up three down in the second. Nicholas Ford would draw a walk to start the third but would be left there as the next three batters went down in order. Tyler James Nelson would get aboard on a one out double before the next two batters fly out to end the third.

Charlie Banks would draw a two out walk to get aboard in the fourth, but he would not be able to advance as Allan strikes out. The Aviators would also have a runner on with two outs as Guilford would lay down a double. However, he would be left stranded as Vrolijk would ground out. The Crackers would finally get on the board as Ladd would hit a leadoff double that was followed by a RBI single that would tie the game 1-1. The next three batters would then go down in order. The Aviators would be unable to answer back as a single from Cowart is the only thing they get in the fifth. The Crackers would start off strong in the sixth as Divine would hit a leadoff single before stealing second. The next two batters would strikeout swinging. During Banks at bat Divine would attempt to steal third but would be thrown out for the third out. All three batters for the Aviators would strike out swinging to end the sixth.

The seventh inning was a quiet one for the Crackers as s walk from Allen is the only thing they get. It would also be a quiet one for the Aviators as they go three up three down. Atlanta would follow this up by going three up three down with two swinging strikeouts in the eighth. The Aviators would get a chance to get ahead as Cowart would draw a walk before stealing second with two outs. Unfortunately, Nelson would go down looking to send it to the ninth. The Crackers would lay down two singles, but Divine would be caught stealing before a double play would shut them down. The Aviators wouldn’t do much better as the only baserunner they get would reach on an E7 error. This would send them to extra innings and the Crackers started off strong as Allan would hit a leadoff single to put runners in corners. The next two batters would strikeout swinging before Ford would pop up to send it to the final frame. Guilford would fly out before a single from Vrolijk would put runners in corners. Stephens would ground a ball straight to third, but a routine throw to first turned into a disaster as Ladd would launch the ball into the Aviators dugout that would bring home the winning run.

The Aviators won 2-1 as they improved their record to 11-10 and the Crackers fell to 11-10. They will return to Legion Field for a rematch on Wednesday.
