Kelton Caldwell is a former professional baseball player and current head coach. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Kelton developed his skills as a standout player at Jordan High School, where he batted .451 and hit eight home runs in 2010. He was recognized as a Deseret News First Team All-State player in both 2009 and 2010, as well as a two-time all-region selection. After high school, Kelton played for the Angel Scout Team under coach Jeff Scholzen and had an on-base percentage of .613 as a junior, hitting nine doubles and two triples.
Kelton then spent four years playing at Brigham Young University before embarking on a professional career. In 2015 and 2016, he played in the Frontier League with the River City Rascals and in the Australian Baseball League with the Brisbane Bandits. Kelton also has coaching experience, including a stint at Salt Lake Community College. Currently, he is the defense and hitting Coach at
Point University.
Prior to joining the Monarchs for 2023, Kelton spent the past 2 summers in the Northwoods League as part of the Wausau Woodchucks on field staff.
