MINOT, N.D. -- The 2021 national tournament if finally here. In what seemed impossible six months ago, has become a reality as 16 teams will head to St Louis, M.O. to crown a champion. The tournament begins on Friday April 16th and runs through until Tuesday April 20th. The defending champions enter the tournament in a familiar spot as the sixth seed. A spot, they held entering into the 2019 tournament on route to its second national championship. They face an unfamiliar opponent in the 11th seed Calvin Knights. The Knights elevated their program to ACHA Division 1 in 2017. This will be the second ever tournament for the young program. Both programs have never ever face each other. 

"We are excited to finally have a national championship." Said Head Coach Wade Regier. "We were heart broken with the cancellation last year and are appreciative of the opportunity to do it this year. In my eleven years behind the bench, I have not seen so much parity in the tournament. It truly is anyone's for the taking."

The 6th seed Beavers battle the 11th seed Knights 1:30pm on Saturday April 17th.
