First Round Win

CHESTERFIELD, M.O. -- The Beavers advanced to their 10th straight quarter final appearance at the national tournament after a 2-1 win over the 11th ranked Calvin Knights. The Beavers dominated the first period with a 16-2 shot advantage but could not find the back of the net. In the second, the Beavers were finally able to get on the board on a nice shot from the slot by freshman Nick Doyle. A few minutes later, junior Davis Sheldon buried a top shop shelf goal to give the Beavers the 2-0 lead. The Beavers continued the shot dominance 32-6 after two periods. In the third, the Knights scored late to make the game interesting. Sophomore goalie Chad Duran stood tall in the 2-1 victory. 

The Beavers now turn their attention to another ACHA power in the third ranked Lindenwood Lions. These two power houses have appeared met in the 2019 national semi finals. The Beavers beat the Lions 1-0 on route the national championship. Game time is 1:30pm and can be seen live at www.hockeytv.com
