MINOT, N.D. -- The final two games of the season are set. The Beavers will travel to Jamestown on Tuesday April 6th, with the Jimmies traveling back to Minot the next night on Wednesday April 7th to wrap the regular season. Both games will not count for the national tournament seedings, which will take place on Tuesday. The games however, will be used as a vital tune up prior to the national tournament. As independents, the Jimmies and Beavers have not had the luxury of playing in conference tournaments at the end of the season. Conference tournaments have played important roles to shape the end of a team's season. It allows for a better chance to improve rankings plus it gives teams battle tested games before the national tournament. In the past, the Beavers and Jimmies have scheduled games against each other to substitute this situation. It has worked well in the past and will be extremely beneficial for both teams this season. The last time either team played a game was against each other back on March 18th. Had these games not been scheduled, both teams would be sitting idle for almost five weeks before the national tournament.

The Wednesday April 7th home game will be the last time to see the Beavers on home ice. It will be the last time to redeem your sponsor, comp and flex tickets. It will also be the Minot Hockey Boosters game night. Last season, as was the case the past two years, the Beavers had ordered Boosters inspired jerseys to be auctioned off with the proceeds being donated back to the Boosters organization. When the pandemic hit, the Jerseys were delayed and the event could not proceed. The Beavers look forward to honoring past builders of the Minot Hockey Boosters who have shaped the futures of so many young hockey players in Minot. Stay tuned for more information on the jersey auction.
