MINOT, N.D — Battling the Tetons for the 6th and final time, you didn’t know what to expect. The first period showed similar signs to every other start during the season series, a tight, low scoring affair. The second period is when the sparks began to fly. A couple late goals from Carter Barley and Justin Metcalf gave the Beavers the 4-1 lead heading into the final frame. In the third, the Beavers were powered away with three goals from Dylan Cassie, Davis Sheldon and Adam Wowryk to finish the game with a 7-1 win. Freshman Riley Wallace made 18 saves for the victory.
The Beavers now have an earned weekend off after playing six straight weekends now have a weekend bye. Next game is on the road against arch rival UMary on Wednesday March 10th.
