Jamestown, N.D. — With 2:35 on the clock, the Beavers were down 2-0. The Beavers were short handed and all signs pointed to another loss to their arch rival Jamestown. 20 seconds later..... cue the comeback. With 2:12 on the clock, short handed, Davis Sheldon corralled a rebound to find the back of the net cutting the lead to 2-1. Then, with less than a minute, the Beavers pulled goaltender Chad Duran for the extra attacker. That extra attacker Drew Carter, caught a loose puck from Davis Sheldon and buried the game tying goal. Early in overtime, defenseman Paul O’Connor riffled a slap shot from the corner to lift the Beavers to the 3-2 come back win.
The Beavers got a gutsy performance from goaltender Chad Duran who made 22 saves for the win.
Both teams battle out in the rematch tomorrow night at 8:00pm in Minot.
