AMES, I.A. — It was anticipated to be one of the best series in the ACHA this season. Two perennial powers squaring off. Friday night’s game didn’t disappoint. The Beavers got off to a great start with a goal from Jagger Thiessen halfway through to give the Beavers the 1-0 lead. In the second, the Beavers continued to produce, adding another goal from Rhett Lough. The Cyclones would answer right way to cut the lead to 2-1. Late in the period, Justin Metcalf would add one to give the Beavers the 3-1 lead to end the 2nd period. In the third, the Beavers added another to provide insurance from Carter Barley to give the Beavers the 4-1 win. Freshman Riley Wallace continued his impressive campaign turning way 26 shots for another win.
Both teams are back in action tomorrow night 7:30pm.
