After falling out of the top spot in the ACHA National Rankings, the Minot State University Beavers will look to get back into the win column on the road. Last time the Beavers were in action they dropped back to back games in overtime to instate rival Jamestown. That was the first time the Beavers have lost consecutive games in a row since last October when they were swept by the Iowa Cyclones, they went on a tear after that, closing out the season 23-2-1, en route to their second National Championship in program history. The Beavers will now travel to Great Falls, Montana for a pair of games. The Beavers opened up the season with a sweep in Colorado, and with the pair of overtime losses, their record stands at 2-0-2.

The Beavers are slowly getting healthier by the week. In the Jamestown series Sophomore forward Landyn Cochrane returned to the lineup, and it seems that Senior Captain Blake Fournier would be the next in line to return.

“Obviously it’s tough to sit and watch the guys battle, I am a very competitive guy, and want to help the team win. But at the same time its early in the season so I want to make sure my ankle gets back to 100%”, said Fournier.

The University of Providence Argos are an ACHA Division II team, and this weekend will be the first time the programs will face each other. The Argos are a perfect 5-0 on the season. In the five games, the Argos have outscored their opponent 29-10. Head Coach Wade Regier says his team has to be ready for a hard-working Argos team.

“This is a very hard working team over there, they are coming off big wins in Utah, so they will be fired up. They are out to prove that they can play at our level. So for us, it's all about getting off to a good start and matching their intensity, and being prepared right from puck drop”, said Regier.

Puck drop on Friday is at 8:00pmCT/7:00pmMT, followed by 8:30pmCT/7:30pmMT on Saturday. Stay tuned on Twitter for updates, a broadcast for this weekend is TBD.
