MINOT, N.D. -- The Beavers got a 22 saves shutout from Brey Effertz to salvage a weekend split with the University of Jamestown. Weather didn't cooperate in what was intended to be a best of three series. The Jamestown area was expecting over 12 inches of snow on Saturday, prompted the Beavers and Jimmies to cancel the final game of the best of three. Regardless, the weekend was considered a success. The Beavers lost Friday 6-3 on Friday night in front of the second largest crowd of the season. Despite the skewed score, the Beavers out shot the Jimmies 63-18. The Beavers were able to shore up their defensive play the next night to power them to a split.

Both teams now focus on the the upcoming national tournament. The Jimmies face Robert Morris (IL) in the play in a round 1 play in game Thursday March 21st. The Beavers face Illinois in the second round on Saturday March 23rd.
