AMES, I.A. -- The 6th ranked Beavers have their handsful this weekend in Ames, Iowa. The 9th ranked Cyclones are coming off a big split with 3rd ranked Ohio this past weekend. The Beavers and Cyclones have met at least one weekend every season for the past 16 years. Its a rivalry not common across the ACHA, however, the history of both programs has been connected ever since the Beavers entered the ACHA back in 1995.
"This is no doubt one of the biggest weekends of the season."Said Head Coach Wade Regier. "Iowa State has always been a top ten team. They recruit well and have been well coached. They always have couple players that are considered elite country wide, that you always have to take into account. These games are going to feel like playoff games and we going to be in for a battle."
Scouting the Cyclones
The 9th ranked Cyclones come into the weekend with a 5-3 record and a big home split against 3rd ranked Ohio last weekend.
The Cyclones are coached by Jason Fairman, his 5th season.
