CINCINNATI, Ohio - Over the course of this past weekend, the Cincinnati Steam were a part a two rainouts. Makeup dates for those game have been announced and are as follows.

 

The Steam will play a double header against the Southern Ohio Copperheads at home, Thursday, June 28 stating at 5:05pm. The second game will take place approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the first game. Both games will be 7-inning games played at Max McLeary Field on the campus of Western Hills High School. This is a result of Sunday’s rainout in Athens, Ohio at Bob Wren Stadium.

 

The Steam will play the Richmond Jazz at home Sunday, July 22 at 6:05pm, also at Max McLeary Field. This is the makeup date for Friday night’s postponed opening night game against the Jazz and will be a single 9-inning game.

 

ABOUT THE CINCINNATI STEAM: The Cincinnati Steam has earned a spot in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League playoffs in 10 of its 12 seasons of existence. Three times the Steam has played in the GLSCL championship round including winning the title in both 2008 and 2009.

 

ABOUT THE GREAT LAKES SUMMER COLLEGIATE LEAGUE: The Great Lakes Summer Collegiate, which is entering its 30th season, is a wood-bat league that is certified by the NCAA and is partially funded by Major League Baseball. The league boasts several players that have earned service time in major league baseball including six former Steam players.
