Steam @ Scouts — 7:05p at Xenia Athletes in Action
Date: Jun 8, 2023
The 2021 version of the Cincinnati Steam will be celebrating its 15th season in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. Except for its first year (Xavier University), the Steam had called Western Hills High School their home. But launching season 15 they will be celebrating the game of baseball at 3 different home venues around the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Region.
Opening Friday, June 4, at 7:05pm, the Steam will kick off their 15th season celebration against their rival the Hamilton Joes. This game will be played at Y'alls Ballpark over in Florence, Kentucky, home of the Florence Y'alls (formerly Florence Freedom) of the Frontier League, Independent Minor League Baseball.
The very next day, Saturday, June 5, at 5:05pm, the Steam will come back across the river to the westside of Cincinnati, just a few miles from their previous home and face the Ohio Bison (formally the Licking County Settlers), who in fact was the last opponent the Steam played and lost to in the 2019 playoffs. This game will be played at the Panther Athletic Complex (PAC), home of the Elder High School Panthers.
And last but not least, the third venue that the Steam will call home, is a familiar location that the Steam have frequented over the years and have done a tremendous amount of team building and character building within Roselawn, Ohio (just off I-75) and with the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund and their Rookie Success League, the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy. The first home game will be played there on Wednesday June 9 vs. Xenia Scouts at 7:05pm.
We look forward to seeing all of our loyal fans that we have come to know and love and especially looking forward to meet new one at our new venues. No presale tickets necessary. There will be a nominal fee of $5 at Florence and games at Roselawn and the PAC will be free of charge to attend. Tell a buddy and bring a friend and come see the future of the Great American Pastime from the greatest city of baseball in the world, Cincinnati, Ohio.
