CCHL2 Playoff Recap | Westport stays alive while OJC takes series lead
F | Ottawa 3, Alexandria 2 | OJC leads series 3-2
This game was close until the end. Nicholas Seguin had two goals in the game and now has 4G/3A in the series. Johnny Pickering added 2 assists on Seguin’s two goals. Turner would add one more in the third period. It came close at the end as the Canadians were able to survive a late comeback by the Glens.
Alexandria scored twice from Flip Ivanovic and Ryan Allen in loss. Alexandria outshot Ottawa 25-23 in the game. Goalie of the year Ryan Whitehurst made 23 saves while Nicholas Rousseau made 20 saves in the game.
Game 6 goes Monday night at 8:00 at Glengarry Sports Palace.
F/OT | Westport 4, Perth 3 | PER leads series 3-2
Westport was leading 3-1 at one point during the game until Baggio scored twice to send the game to OT. Baggio collected 2G/1A in a three point effort. Rideaus would send it to a game 6 with Corey Symington getting OT Winner on their only shot of overtime.
Blake Kettyle had 2 goals while Skylar Choffe assisted on two of the four goals in this game. Joey Laird had a good performance netting 1G/2A in game five. Westport outshot Perth 48-30 in the game. Jonathan Peacock made 44 saves in an amazing performance while Eric Tessier made 27 saves for his first career playoff win.
Game 6 goes Wednesday night at 7:30 at Perth Arena.
