Embrun moves on to face Casselman in Quarter Finals with a win

Ottawa, Ontario – The Embrun Panthers advanced to the Quarter Finals after a 3-1 victory and eliminated the Ottawa West Golden Knights in first round for the first time since 2013 when they loss to OJC.

Embrun will face off against the Casselman Vikings in the Quarter Finals starting on Sunday in a best of seven series.

Embrun would get two goals right off the bat from Griffin Patterson and Andrew Buke to lead 2-0. Ottawa West had 17 shots onto Jean-Pascal Sabourin in the 1st period.

West would add a goal but Embrun would respond with one more goal to lead 3-1 and would defend the one goal they allowed to victory. Ottawa West outshot Embrun 40-38 in this game.

Young had the only goal for Ottawa West in loss. Cuglitta made 35 saves in loss while Jean-Pascal Sabourin made 39 saves to move on to next round.
