This past weekend the Virtua Hockey 15U, 16U and 18U teams traveled to Marlboro, MA to compete in the first annual NHL Youth Cup – Midget.  The NHL Youth Cup series of events are exclusive to NHL-affiliated youth organizations.  The Midget event was held at the 8-rink New England Sports Center and saw well over 100 college, junior and pro scouts in attendance.  The 40 participating teams included prestigious organizations such as Detroit Little Caesars, Chicago Mission, Pittsburgh Pens Elite, Dallas Stars Elite, LA Jr Kings and many more.  Our Virtua Hockey 15U team represented the Flyers organization very well, defeating the Dallas Stars 2-1, CO Thunderbirds 2-0 and Pittsburgh Pens Elite 2-0, before falling to the 8th-ranked Chicago Mission 3-2 in the 15U Semifinals.  More results can be found at nhlyouthcup.com
