The Solana Beach Cardinals swept their double header against the Pirates at home on Saturday.

Fresh off a walk-off loss to the Pirates on the previous night, the Cardinals bounced back with two huge wins.

The first win of the day broke a three-game losing streak for Solana Beach.

In game 1, Troy Lamparello of Palomar College threw 4 2/3 scoreless innings for the Cardinals, and was backed by a very solid bullpen.

In game 2, the Cardinals woke their bats up and erupted for 9 runs. Shortstop Connor Shadroo smacked his first home run of the SBL season, a towering shot to left field.

The Cardinals look to keep it rolling at home on Tuesday vs. the Signal Hill Oilers.
