The Woodland Hills Sparrows are the newest addition to the SBL. The head coach is Ryan Davis who currently is an assistant at Compton Community College. Prior to coaching at Compton Community, Davis was an assistant at Coppin State.

The Sparrows will be led by ace Tyler Witt who attends Wake Forest. Coach Davis has given high praise to Witt stating he believes Witt will be the top arm in the Sunset League in 2017. He said Witt has pro stuff and he wouldn't be surprised ot hear his name called in the draft in the next couple of years.
