KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Outlaws are excited to announce that Forward Adam Shimamoto will be returning to the roster this season.  The Thornton, CO native is entering his second season in the Northern Pacific Hockey League and is ready to take a veteran role on the team.  "I'm excited to be back with this organization.  Last season was a great year not only for me on the ice but also off to grow as an individual in both school and hockey," expressed Shimamoto.  Shimamoto came to the Tri-City Outlaws in November from the Fort Vancouver Vipers and impressed the Outlaws coaching staff with his speed and ability to adapt to the game at the young age of 16.  "Shims developed a lot last season and this season we look for him to take on a leadership role and pave the way for our rookies coming in this season," stated Outlaws owner Jordan Owen.

In 27 games played last season for the Outlaws, Shimamoto posted 10 points (6 goals, 4 assists) and was valuable on both the power play and penalty kill units. After the first week of practice, first year coach Geno McCue liked what he saw and is excited to work with the talented forward.  "I like what I see in Shims and he is a kid any coach would want to have given his work ethic in practice and leadership both on and off the ice," stated McCue.  Shimamoto expressed the same sentiments when it came to talking about McCue.  "To work with this coach and see what he brings to the table in both his past experience and what he is planning for the road ahead I'm ready to put in the work."

The Outlaws season kicks off Friday, September 25th against the always tough Bellingham Blazers at the Toyota Arena.  Season tickets are now on sale and the current promotion is buy one get one free season ticket packs!  If you are interested in this current promotion or would like more information please email our office at jowen@tcoutlawshockey.com or call 509-551-8260.
