KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Outlaws, proud member of the United States Premier Hockey League, has announced its leadership for the 2016-2017 season.

The Outlaws have named returning, 20 year old forward, Payton Okon as Captain.  Okon's first season with the Outlaws was last year and made an immediate presence with his size and abilities on the ice.  Okon had previously played in the league with the Cheney Ice Hawks in 2014/2015 but wasn't given the opportunity to showcase his talents.  Last season, Okon put together a great campaign while finishing third in total points, (27G, 28A, 56 Points), and his punishing hits left opponents dazed.  We look forward to seeing what is in store for this veteran this season.

For the second straight year, 18 year old forward, Adam Shimamoto has been gvien the "A".  Shimamoto, a veteran from Thornton, CO, comes into his third season with the Outlaws and is looking to continue his dominance on the ice for the Outlaws.  Shimamoto tied for third in points last season (24G, 31A, 55 points) and should once again be a scoring threat while seeking to catch the looks of a few BCHL teams.

Coming into his first season in the junior ranks but already making a mark is 20 year old, Kalen Campbell.  Campbell, native of Eagle River, AK first showed up at the Outlaws evaluation camp during the summer and his personality, both on and off the ice, quickly caught the attention of the Outlaws staff.  We look forward to Kal having a great season and are already looking ahead to getting him placed for college next year.

The Outlaws welcome their leadershp for the 2016/2017 season and are looking forward to getting things going this upcoming Saturday, September 24 when they head to Seattle for one game to take on the Ravens who recently swept the West Sound Warriors.
