North Allegheny outlasts Butler, 5-4

Upper St. Clair could not stop Butler's Connor Scott, who tallied a hat trick in a 5-2 win.
Scott notched his first tally 4:24 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:15 into the second and at 7:51 into the second.Butler's penalty kill excelled, as Butler gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays.
Butler stifled Upper St. Clair's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Butler could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.
Butler also got points from Jonathan Fair, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Butler also got a goal from Ronan Miller as well. In addition, Butler received assists from Trevor Gilliland, who had two and Brendan Ackelson and Ben Rodgers, who each chipped in one.
Upper St. Clair's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Upper St. Clair found itself short handed often, totaling 32 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.
Upper St. Clair was helped by Joshua Koch, who racked up one goal. Koch scored 9:37 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Butler. Antonino Del Rossa provided the assist. Matthew Finn also scored for Upper St. Clair. More assists for Upper St. Clair came via Derek Kopach, who had one.
Butler's Zachary Schnur stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Adam Seeton made 25 saves for Upper St. Clair on 29 shots.
