Butler and Peters Township could not settle their match and fought to a 2-2 tie.
Butler could not produce up to its normal offensive output. Butler puts an average of 4.7 pucks into the net per game. Butler could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.
Butler was led by Connor Scott, who finished with one goal and one assist. Scott scored on the power play 1:54 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Butler. Butler had gained a power play chance when Jace Cochrane was whistled for hooking. Sam Gross picked up the assist. Butler also got a goal from Jonathan Fair as well. In addition, Butler received assists from Ben Rodgers, who had one.
Butler was unable to stop Peters Township from sending pucks towards the net, and Peters Township eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.
Peters Township was helped by Zachery Gielarowski, who had one goal. Gielarowski scored on the power play 8:39 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Peters Township had gotten the advantage when Butler's Scott was sent off for roughing. Will Barnes assisted on the tally. Matt Amelio also scored for Peters Township.
