La CROSSE, Wis. — The La Crosse Freeze scored less than 90 seconds into the game and never let up, earning a 14-4 North American 3 Hockey League victory against the Rochester Ice Hawks on Saturday at Green Island Arena.

The Freeze scored six first-period goals, added five more in the second period and three in the third.

The Ice Hawks received two goals from Dominik Bogdzuil and one each from Hunter Heightland and Kenny Ree.

Heightland, Trey McMillen, Garrett Strom and Justin Sweet had one assist apiece for Rochester, while Zach Mains (25 saves) and Kyle Plantz (15 saves) split time in goal.

Sam Wenner, Hunter Dolan and Matt Wolter had two goals each for La Crosse (26-10-0), while JP Eykyn, Ben Johnson, Jared Bromberg, Daniel Toycen, Taylor Trapp, Hunter Breza, Ben Henderson and Daylon De Souza had one each.

Rochester (10-26-1) now has 10 regular-season games remaining, beginning with Thursday's game at the Wisconsin Whalers.
