Ice Hawks take ice without coach on the bench
Date: Mar 19, 2016

ALEXANDRIA — The Rochester Ice Hawks' three-game point streak came to an abrupt halt on Friday.
Alexandria scored four first-period goals and breezed to a 6-0 victory in a North American 3 Hockey League game at the Runestone Community Center.
Alexandria's Caleb Anderson was a one-man wrecking crew in the opening period. He recorded a natural hat trick, scoring the first three goals of the game in the first 12 minutes, 6 seconds.
Aaron Ryback also scored in the first period, then Louis Gerzen and Tony Arias added third-period goals.
Alexandria (12-16-2) outshot Rochester 43-12, with goalie Chance Kremer recording the shutout. Ice Hawks goalie Zach Mains made 37 saves in the loss, including 18 in the first period.
The Ice Hawks (9-20-1) were coming off one of their best weekends of the season. They beat Chicago in back-to-back games by a comined score of 13-2, then played La Crosse to a 0-0 tie before falling in a shootout.
But Anderson scored his first goal just 2:43 into Friday's game and the Blizzard led the rest of the way.
The Ice Hawks play host to Alexandria at 7:05 p.m. tonight.
