Inaugural season will feature top talent

The California Collegiate Summer League is set up to be one of the top summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country as they begin their inaugural 2013 season. Featuring a set of six teams, the CCSL will feature not only some of the top talent in Southern California, but from across the nation. NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and junior college athletes will compete in this summer's league which launches on June 1st. The CCSL will play host to its first All Star game on June 30th at Stengel Field in Glendale, Calif and is led by founder and president Tony Riviera, and an advisory board of MLB scouts and team executives.

 

"Our goal is to bring the best caliber of collegiate baseball to the best venue for baseball in the world, in Southern California," said Riviera. 

The teams competing in the CCSL will be: Glendale Angelenos, Long Beach Legends, West Coast Storm, Ventura Pirates, East Los Angeles Dodgers, and Montebello Stars.
