Former Big 10 Star Signs with Storm

(Summerside, PE) The London Lightning made it two NBL Championships in a row as they won a low scoring affair, 87-80, at Credit Union Place in front of 3,019 fans over the Summerside STORM to win the Championship series final three games to one.
Brandon Robinson lead the way for the STORM with 24 points and 12 rebounds while Greg Plummer also had a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Marvin Phillips, who was named play-off MVP, scored 19 points to lead the Lightning while Tim Ellis scored 12 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
The evenings 50-50 was won by Brian Ramsay of Summerside who took home half of the $8,932 total pot. Tristan Gray took home a free night at the Quality Inn Summerside by winning the Quality Inn/Brothers Two Golf Game.
The STORM will hold a Fan and Player Appreciation Night this coming Monday evening begining at 7 pm at the Veterans Convention Centre at Credit Union Place in Summerside. Fans are encouraged to bring along basketballs, t-shirts, or other memorabilia to have signed by STORM Players. Fans can enjoy pizza and a beverage at the event which is open to all STORM Fans.
