Playoff Schedule Announced

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League, announce the playoff schedule for their first round matchup against the Springfield Jr. Blues. This will be a best-of-three series, with Kalamazoo coming in as the third seed in the NAHL North and Springfield holding the sixth seed. 

The first game between these two teams will take place on Thursday, April 4th, at 7 p.m. EST. This contest will take place at the Borgess Health Rink at Wings West in Kalamazoo, MI. 

The second game will also happen in Kalamazoo, and it will take place on Saturday, April 6th. This time, it will be an afternoon contest, as the puck will drop at 2 p.m. EST. 

If necessary, a third and final game will be played on Sunday, April 7th, in Springfield, IL. This game would take place at 5 p.m. CST at the Nelson Center.

On the season, these two clubs have faced off eight times. The Jr. K-Wings have gotten the better of the series, earning a record of 7-1-0 against the Jr. Blues. Springfield had a disappointing 1-6-1 record against Kalamazoo, but defeated this very same Kalamazoo team in the final game of a regular season to earn a spot in the playoffs.

If victorious, Kalamazoo would face the second seed, Jamestown, in the second round. While Springfield would face off against the first seed, Soo.
