Former Big 10 Star Signs with Storm

In the first quarter the Rainmen took a 31-13 lead behind 5-10 shooting from 3 point range, led by Tyler Richards, who had 9 points and 4 assists in the first quarter of his first start of the season. The Rainmen took a 54-38 lead into halftime, led by Richards with 12 and 5 assists, while the Jazz were led by Courtland Bluford with 13 points in the half.
In the third quarter the Rainmen shot 46% from the field and outscored the Jazz 30-24 led by Joey Haywood with 10 in the quarter. Although the Jazz brought the Rainmen lead down to single digits in the fourth quarter, the Rainmen were able to hold on for the win, bringing their record to 17-16 on the season. The Rainmen shot 44% and 39% from 3 point range, compared to the Jazz 30% from the field and 29% from long range.
The Rainmen were led by Halifax-native Tyler Richards, who started his first game of the regular season and responded with career-highs in 21 points on 7-12 shooting and 10 assists. Also chipping in were starters Joey Haywood and Tyrone Levett with 16 points each, Akeem Wright off the bench with 12, Quinnel Brown with 8 & 12 rebounds and Malcolm White with 6 and 12 rebounds.
The Jazz who dropped to 2-33 on the season, were led by Yul Michel with 29 points and 6 assists, Courtland Bluford with 20 points and a pair of massive double-doubles from Terance Licorish with 21 points and 16 rebounds, and Jonas Pierre with 10 points and 17 rebounds.
