WINDSOR, ON - The Windsor Express won their third straight game in the first of a three-game series with the Montreal Jazz, 105-91, tonight at the WFCU Centre.
Kevin Loiselle was the leader for the Express, scoring 22 points and hauling down a game-high 17 rebounds. Windsor out rebounded Montreal during the game 60-45.
Four other Express players also reached double digits in scoring in the win.
Mike Helms and Chris Commons scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, while Greg Surmacz scored 11 points to go along with 14 rebounds.
Darren Duncan rounded out the scoring with 12 points while dishing out 11 assists. Duncan remains the league-leader in assists-per-game (7.54) while Commons has scored his way into the league's fifth highest points-per-game average (19.05)
The Express will have no time to rest as they will head to Montreal for game two of the series, Feb.15 at the Centre Pierre-Charbonneau.
Game three will take place back in Windsor, Feb. 20. The teams will meet for the fourth time in 14 days when the Jazz travel back to the WFCU Centre, Feb. 27. which will end a three-game road trip for the NBL Canada's lone team from Montreal.
The win vaults the Express to a 13-16 record.
