The Halifax Rainmen are pleased to announce a new partnership with the United Way of Halifax, which will allow half of all tickets sold for the March 9 Rainmen home game versus the Oshawa Power to go directly toward the charity's local 2013 campaign.
"The goals of the United Way of Halifax are a perfect fit to what our team strives to achieve off the court; bring people together to build vibrant neighbourhoods and strengthen our communities," said Halifax Rainmen President & CEO, Andre Levingston. "We look forward to having Haligonians from each of the city's unique communities join us for an exciting game of high-energy basketball in support of a very important cause."
This partnership comes on the heels of the exciting announcement that the United way of Halifax raised an incredible $6,104,138 in donations last year. The Rainmen hope to grow their partnership with the organization to help make this number even greater this year.
"The United Way of Halifax is doing extraordinary things for our communities and we are genuinely excited to become a partner in helping to achieve astronomical success."
Corporate entities or community groups who would like to participate in the March 9 fundraiser are asked to phone 444.RAIN (7246) for special access to group rates and packages.
Single tickets for the March 9 game can be purchased at www.ticketatlantic.com, by phoning 902.451.1221 or by visiting Atlantic Superstore outlets or the Metro Centre Box Office.
