NEWPORT, RI — The final duo of Newport’s Solar Signings, powered by A1 Roofing, are freshmen INF Josh Castellani of Clemson and University of Kentucky LHP Leighton Harris.

D1 Baseball ranked Castellani No. 32 in the ACC for rookies, and he’s a top 30 third baseman in the nation according to Perfect Game.

Castellani has had a quiet season for the Tigers, appearing in just four games, but his past accolades indicate he’ll have a successful future in baseball.

Harris is 1-1 in 11 innings for the Wildcats with a 4.09 ERA. The Kentucky native has fanned nine batters, living up to his Perfect Game ranking of No. 27 in the state at his position.

Opening day is just four days away! Come ring in the new season June 4 at Cardines Field at 6:35 p.m.!
